Thank you for visiting our website of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at North Carolina State University! We are proud that you have a connection with us, and we are thankful for your past, present, and future association with our Department. The Department of Sociology and Anthropology had its beginning in 1920, and our Department awarded North Carolina State University's first master and doctoral (Ph.D.) degrees. Our Department is in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHASS). In the past, we were in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS), as well. Therefore, our current programs are with CHASS, though we have CHASS and CALS alumni. Please check out their respective "Alumni & Friends" websites.
