Winston Classrooms Receive Technological Redesign
Over the summer of 2013, CHASS IT organized the redesign of two classrooms in Winston (001 and 004). The redesigned rooms have one large screen at the front of the classroom, five flat screens along the walls, and five movable dry erase boards. Each of the flat screens is connected to the computer at the lecturer’s desk and can display the lecturer’s screen. Students can also access the flat screens by connecting their laptops, iPads, or iPhones to wires, which may require proper adapters. The classrooms are equipped with thirty chairs with wheels to facilitate small group work around each of the flat screens. Generally, the Department of Sociology and Anthropology controls access to these rooms.
As of the first day of the 2013 Fall semester, the classrooms became available for instruction.
